COURSE OVERVIEW
“Advanced Production” is aimed at imparting the students with the knowledge of methods in which production fluids can be better produced from the wellbore. Upon completion of this course, participants should be capable of the following:
(1) Reservoir & Tubing performance
(2) Conventional Well completion
(3) Perforating Techniques
(4) Completion Operations & Equipment
(5) Advanced Well Completion
(6) Unstable Formation & Sand Control
(7) Formation Damage
(8) Matrix Acidizing
(9) Hydraulic Fracturing
(10) Surface facilities Design, Pipeline systems & storage
(11) Production systems Optimization using:
· queuing theory,
· linear programming and
This course was designed by Dr. Ohia N. P. All staff associated with this course, will act as facilitators for the discussion boards.
PREREQUISITES
None.

1 – 2 hours per week.
