COURSE OVERVIEW
Detailed reservoir information is essential to the petroleum engineer in order to analyze the current behavior and future performance of the reservoir. Well testing is designed to provide the engineer with a quantitative analysis of the reservoir properties.. Upon completion of this course, participants should have mastered the following topics:
- Introduction to advanced well testing.
- Basic transient flow equation
- Draw down test
- Pressure build-up
- Type curves
- Pressure transient
- Historical development
- Interpretation and modelling process.
This course was developed by Dr. Onwukwe, S. I and assisted by Dr. Kerunwa. All staff associated with this course, will act as facilitators for the discussion boards.
PREREQUISITES
None.
TIME COMMITMENT
1 – 2 hours per week.

GRADING SCHEME
All activities are due to be completed by November, 29th 2018, 22:30 GMT. You’ll be graded on weekly activities (100% weight in final score) You need to score 80% or higher to pass the course and receive a certificate. You can check your progress by selecting the “Progress” tab
