COURSE OVERVIEW
This Course “COMPUTER APPLICATION IN DRILLING TECHNOLOGY” is aimed at providing the learners with the knowledge of the Application in Drilling Technology like Big Data Analytics and Torque and Drag Models.
In summary, this course will look into the following topics:
- Introduction
- Overview of Drilling & Completion Operations
- Overview of Modern Computer Programing Languages
- Understanding Software Common Applications in the Industry
- Big Data Analytics
- Introduction to Torque & Drag (T&D)
- Application of Torque and Drag Models
This course was designed by Dr. Princewill Nnaemeka Ohia.
PREREQUISITE
None. This is a practical class and “hands-on” drilling engineering design using computer software application is a requirement.
TIME COMMITMENT
1 – 2 hours per week.

GRADING SCHEME
All activities are due to be completed by August, 6th 2021, 22:30 GMT. You’ll be graded on weekly activities (100% weight in final score) You need to score 70% or higher to pass the course and receive a certificate. You can check your progress by selecting the “Progress” tab
