NATURAL GAS ENGINEERING (PET 521) 2019/2020 SESSION

COURSE OVERVIEW

The course “Natural Gas Engineering” is aimed at imparting the students with the knowledge of the various Gas laws and their properties and also gas transmission, storage and utilization.  The following will be taught in this course:

COURSE OUTLINE

• Gas Laws
• Properties of Natural Gas
• Phase behavior of natural gas system.
• Field separation process
• Gas storage
• Gas transmission in pipelines-series, parallel etc.
• Sources of natural Gas

This course was designed by ENGR. DR. C.I.C. ANYADIEGWU, Department of Petroleum Engineering, FUTO. All staff associated with this course, including the TAs will act as facilitators for the discussion boards.

PREREQUISITES

None.

TIME COMMITMENT

1 – 2 hours per week.

GRADING SCHEME

All activities are due to be completed by May, 6th 2021, 22:30 GMT. You’ll be graded on weekly activities (100% weight in final score) You need to score 80% or higher to pass the course and receive a certificate. You can check your progress by selecting the “Progress” tab
