NIGERIAN OIL MINING (PET 518)

COURSE OVERVIEW

Nigerian Oil Mining Law is a course that will give students an overview of laws and regulations governing the oil and Gas Industry, its evolution, regulatory arrangement, fiscal aspects of the law, mineral oil safety, and other miscellaneous matters. This course will consist of the following Sections/Modules:

• Pre-course survey/test
• Introduction
• Brief History
• Licenses and Leases
• Ownership of petroleum resources in Nigeria
• Petroleum Fiscal System

This course was designed by Engr. Anyiadiegwu in collaboration with Dr.  Nnanna Ochinawanta . All staff associated with this course, will act as facilitators for the discussion boards.

PREREQUISITES

None.

TIME COMMITMENT

1 – 2 hours per week.

COURSE DATES

From June, 4th 2019, 01:00 GMT  to November, 16th 2019, 23:30 GMT. This course uses Greenwich Meridian Time (GMT)

GRADING SCHEME

All activities are due to be completed by November, 16th 2019, 22:30 GMT. You’ll be graded on weekly activities (100% weight in final score) You need to score 70% or higher to pass the course and receive a certificate. You can check your progress by selecting the “Progress” tab
