COURSE OVERVIEW
This Course, “Sand-face Completion” is aimed at providing the learners the basic knowledge of oil and gas production, and the problems one might encounter during production. We would begin this course with a simple Pre-Introductory quiz, and then we will go into the course proper. We will look into: An Introductory session and then The methods of lifting reservoir fluids (artificial production): Gas lift, pumps, after which we would look at Problem-well analysis: workover techniques, well stimulation, fracturing and acidizing. Later on, we’ll look at Sand control; gravel packing, sand consolidation, then we’ll look at Casing Perforation and Metering of oil and gas; problems associated with flow measurement: flow measurement systems; liquid level controllers. In summary, this course will consist of the following Sections/Modules:
- Pre-Introductory Quiz/Pretest
- Introduction
- Method of lifting reservoir fluids
- Problem well analysis
- Sand Control
